Biography
Angelique R. Hayes
Associate CFO, Public Safety and Justice Cluster

Angelique R. Hayes was named associate CFO for the Public Safety and Justice Cluster in October 2007.  She manages the agency financial operations of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department; Metropolitan Police Department; Department of Corrections; the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, and several additional agencies within the cluster. 

Hayes joined the Government of  the District of Columbia in 1996 as an analyst and later branch chief in the Office of Budget and Planning where she helped create a comprehensive operating budget manual, provided fiscal analysis for key legislation, facilitated budget development, and performed analysis for budget execution and financial reporting. Over ten years, she has served in a senior financial management capacity, providing sound management and fiscal analysis for agencies within the Public Safety and Justice Cluster.

Prior to public service, Hayes held positions with the New York Shipping Association/International Longshoreman’s Association, Nations Bank, N.A., and Merrill Lynch & Co. She received a master’s degree in public administration from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s in management/finance from Syracuse University.
